Today we are going to mix a little bit of American and Latino culture, the hot dog particularly connected to New York City, and the Arepa the favorite food of Venezuelans and Colombians people

I will show you how make hot dog arepas in red sauce

this recipe can be perfect for a breakfast or a dinner, it is very easy to prepare and it will only take you 20 minutes, only 3 simple steps and you will put in your table a delicious and different plate

My children love hot dog, this can be a way to eat healthier hot dog, combination of different flavors such as onion, pepper, garlic,

HOT DOG AREPAS

HOT DOG AREPAS
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Additional Time 5 minutes
Total Time 20 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tab sugar
  • 1 onion cut in slices
  • 1 peppers cut in slices
  • 1 green onion
  • 5 basil leaves
  • 1/4 tomato paste

Instructions

    1. cut the veggies (small pieces)

2. cut the hot dogs (small slices)

3. in a wok stir-fry teh onion, garlic, pepper, 2 minutes and mix the sugar

4. put in the tomato paste and start mixing, If it's too thick, you can put some water

5. put the hot dog slices and mix and let it cook for 5 minutes

6. put the cut basil leaves and green onion

7. add salt and pepper to taste

8. then we open the arepas and stuffed with the delicious red sauce with hot dog

is a very simple recipe, but with a special flavor, I always say that the Arepa matches everything.

For children who don’t like vegetables, this sauce is an excellent meal because it’s something sweet you can combine it with avocado slices, it’s delicious!
